Thank you for your support!

Thank you so much for your support!

22 September 2016 was the day I changed the name of my Facebook, Twitter and Instagram account as well as my Youtube Channel. DutchPilotGirl became my new identity. In October 2016 I was able to launch this website. I truly did not believe that it would become such a succes and I am writing this small update because I want to thank each and every one of you! I want you to know that I am very grateful for your support.

It has been a remarkable journey till now. I received wonderful feedback and support from lovely individuals. Some of you made it possible to continue my work through donations. Others provided me with ideas for articles. What it all comes down to in the end.. I could not have come this far without you.

Every single day I wonder how I can improve this website and what I should do next. The last couple of months I was working hard to improve the security and the performance of dutchpilotgirl.com. I added options to share my work on some social platforms and focussed on some design issues. In the meantime I tried to upload new videos on my Youtube Channel every week and to answer your questions with an article. It is amazing to be a (airline) pilot and I want everyone who has this dream to achieve the same. By making articles I hope to inform you about the industry in a normal and easy way.

Since October I’ve published 14 articles. Over 70 comments were posted by you. It brings me so much joy to create content and to receive feedback through comments and e-mails. So please continue to do so!

I also want to thank you for following me on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube. The last couple of months were crazy… As a summary:

Over 10.000 Subscribers
Over 10.000 Followers
 Over 1100 Likes

I am always excited about new ideas and ways to present new content. There is still so much stuff to discuss and to explain. Stay tuned for more! Interested in more? You might have missed popular articles on my website: The price to become an airline pilot or 2 years being unemployed as a commercial pilot.

Is there anything you would like to have answered? What do you think about the website? And the design? Do you prefer vlogs or actual in flight footage? Let me know in the comments below! 🙂

See you guys soon! Xxx

  1. You are a beautiful person and doing a great job.
Keep up the good work! Fly safe and have a great time – the life is good and you deserve all good things for your efforts and heartfelt help that you are offering. Every job has tired moments but to be in the job you love is the best and overides any long hours. Soon you can pick and choose your jobs worldwide and your salaries – typically 11,000$ per month or more. Don’t work for peanuts as most companies DO try it on.

    1. Thanks Nick! I do love my job and because of that it doesn’t feel like work 🙂 Don’t know about those salaries though.. Only heard of such figures in the Middle East and China. All the best, Michelle.

  2. Your amazing. You have done it right, your young and still have many years of flying. I bet in a couple of years you will be a Captain. Congrats, they say hard work and just stick with it when it gets tough and all will work out, and it has for you. Do you keep in touch with any of the people that also went to the CAE with you? Amr Tawdi from sunny Southern California. ?

    1. Hi Amr Tawdi! Thank you for your nice words 🙂 I couldn’t agree more.. in the end, hard work will pay off.. at least that’s what I think 😉 I do in fact stay in contact with fellow classmates and pilots that were in the same Type Rating class. Have a nice day! Michelle
