My name is Michelle, I am Dutch and I live in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. When I was 19 years old I started my training at CAE Aviation Academy Amsterdam and I completed the Airline Pilot Training in 2013. Two years later I obtained my first job as a commercial pilot at one of the biggest low cost airlines in Europe. While I was unemployed I started a Youtube Channel and called it Dutch Pilot Girl. The amount of positive feedback was overwhelming from the start. I never expected to reach this many people! I am very grateful for everyone who spends their time watching my videos, it gives me motivation to continue and to improve my content everyday. Thank you all so much, I can’t do it without you!
I noticed the general idea of being a ‘pilot’ is surrounded by a lot of misconceptions. My goal is to show people what the industry is actually like. Aviation is not only about lying on the beach and making money. This industry is about passion and the will to work hard for your goals in life. I am trying to show that, with a little bit of luck, anyone can become a pilot, as long as you give the full 200%.
This website contains articles about my flying experiences and travel adventures. There will be an occasional review and I will answer the most commonly asked questions. And last but not least, it serves as an extension of my social channels.
Do you have questions of your own? Perhaps a nice story to share? Feel free to tell me more!
I wish you the best and I hope to see you around! – Michelle
